NEWMAN – Precision Inspection was named the 2009 Industry Achievement
Award recipient by California Building Officials (CALBO) during its
annual conference last month.
“It’s an honor to be recognized among such great companies in the
industry,” CEO/CFO Crickett Brinkman reflected recently. “With all the
good talent out there, to stand out and be recognized is a great honor.
This is huge for us!”
Precision Inspection Company was established in 1989 as a building
inspection and plan check company. Over the years, they expanded the
scope of their services by adding Public Works and Code Enforcement
departments. “This is a great way to start off our 20th anniversary
year!” Brinkman noted.
The main office for Precision Inspection is located in downtown
Newman. The local company runs building departments in many different
areas in Northern California including the cities of Newman and Gustine.
“Becoming part of the community, contributing and supporting the
community, is our specialty,” Brinkman noted. “To know our customers
have the faith in us to run their building departments is important to
us.”
CALBO is a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing public
health and safety in building construction through responsible
legislation, education and building code development.
The prestigious Industry Achievement Award is presented each year to
one company which stands out among the vast industry statewide for
their exceptional work and what they bring to the communities they
serve.
“We were genuinely shocked when they called our name at the awards luncheon,” Brinkman reflected.
She and staff members have attended the annual business conference
for many years, an opportunity to educate themselves and market the
business. They had no idea they were receiving the award this year.
The occasion was familiar to them. They were accustomed to hearing
recipients of the awards being described as outstanding businesses in
trade, educators in the fields, available for the needs of the
communities they service...and then, Brinkman described, they announced
that Precision Inspection was this year’s recipient. “Oh my gosh, did
they just say Precision Inspection?” they all realized as it sunk in
that they were this year’s honorees, and they soon found themselves
standing in front of about 100 people accepting the award, giving a
speech and taking photos.
Brinkman said the moment went by in a blur, from the time they
realized their name had been called to a lot of people congratulating
them for the huge accomplishment. “They called us a class act,” she
proudly noted.
They were genuinely honored to receive the award on behalf of the
entire company. “All of our employees make up the award; we are a team
of professionals who pride ourselves on customer service,” Brinkman
stated.
